WHO WE ARE

Dear    Colleague,

As Director of Crossroads Training Center, I am pleased to introduce our organization.

Crossroads is a progressive organization designed to enhance the skills of Substance Abuse and Mental Health professionals. It is our sincere desire to provide a distinction that will help them advance in their careers. It serves the needs of counselors, therapists, probations and corrections officers, nurses and others who work with drug and alcohol abusers. The program also is recommended to those who wish to enter the substance abuse counseling field and must meet various state minimum educational requirements.

Recovering from a problem with substance abuse or any addiction is incredibly challenging and emotionally draining. Helping others to overcome their addictions is no less difficult. The Chemical Dependency program is designed to train people in the skills necessary for assisting chemically dependent persons to alleviate that dependency. The program includes courses intended to provide participants with knowledge of the field through focusing on the development of counseling skills specific to the needs of chemically dependent clientele as identified by appropriate agencies.

Crossroads Training Center has recognized the need to increase the number of Certified Substance Abuse Counselors while understanding the geographic and financial constraints of individuals living in urban areas. Crossroads has the resources necessary to provide certification training in all fifty states and several countries. The program has over 300,000 thousand dollars in grant assistance for those individuals seeking certification.
